ABOUT THE SCHOOL

To nurture the delicate minds of children and shape them into the individuals they will become, FGEIs Cantt & Garrison Institutions have a mission to provide an unparalleled and healthy educational environment for the wards of Armed Forces personnel and civilians residing in cantonments/garrisons across the country. Our aim is to equip them with creativity, dynamism, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to society by offering purposeful and quality education, fostering their skills, and enabling them to play an effective role in the progress of the nation.
The building of FG Public School No.5 (Girls) is located in front of Mall Road in Wah Cantt. Originally established in 1957 as a Primary School, it was later upgraded to a Middle School in 1964. During this phase, the teachers focused on building a strong foundation in all subject areas. In 1968, it was further upgraded to a High School under the supervision of the Cantt Board. At the High School level, students have the option to choose between Biology and Computer subjects alongside the core science subjects. On October 1st, 1977, the school was handed over to FGEI(C/G). In December 1990, the school was bifurcated into two separate entities: FG PS No.5 (Girls) as a High School for grades VI-X, and FG JPS No.5 as a Primary School for grades I-V. In 2014, it was renamed FG PS No.5 (Girls), Wah Cantt.
Our school is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE). We take pride in our professional and dedicated teachers who have played a significant role in our students' success. Over the years, our students and teachers have won numerous academic awards and prizes, showcasing their achievements and talents.
